Default Installing an OEM Backup Camera

Has anyone installed an OEM backup camera in their 2015 F150? I'm wondering how much of a chore it's going to be and if it's worth it to take it somewhere to have it installed. My main concern is getting to the back of the dash/radio to install the connectors. The product I'm receiving soon is this: https://camera-source.com/automotive...ay-s-1591.html

Cant comment on the 2015 version, but I did just recently installed theyre 05-14 version on my 2012 that didnt come with one to my new Kenwood 892 nav HU!

It was a breeze and ez, good instructions came with the Camera Source unit.

I would say its pretty staright forward, just remove your old tailgate handle. Add new camera handle trim, run wiring inside, or along frame(probably some existing oem wire harness to ziptie to) run wires into cab. Then run wires up behind dash, connect to HU display, and a reverse trigger wire. Boom, your i business and have a backup cam when in reverse.

Im sure The Camera Source includes well detailed instructions for the 15s, as the do the previous gen trucks like mine. It took me about a hour start to finish, to install the camera and run the wire harness. Ive never done it before, but it was EZ!

The instructions from the website that it's allowing me to download are not that great, but you've given me much more confidence. Thanks for the reply!

It seems very itimidating at 1st, but if your like me and are good working with your hands. Once you get started, just take your time and youll see how truely easy it is.

Then once you look back at how ez it was to install, youd be pissed at yourself if you paid someone else to do it. Especially if they scratch anything on or in your new truck!

I just downloaded, and went through the install instructions... Looks very straight forward, and simple... Just be sure to follow the instructions, and us a deburring tool around the newly drilled hole to ru wiring into cab. As well, as using somekind of rust inhibitor.
