Default Installing backup sensors

Is it possible to retrofit the factory backup sensors if your truck didn't come with them stock?

As I understand it, the PAM(park assist module) is in the BCM. My 2017 truck did not come with the sensors. The as-built files downloaded from Ford not not show the PAM for my VIN. Forscan does not find the PAM either. Without the PAM, even if all the wiring is present, the factory sensors will not work.

I got an Echomaster ParkAlert system for trucks. It works OK I guess. It's definitely not as good as the factory sensors on my 2006 F150. One of the problems is that both of the mounting patterns seem to put the outboard sensors a lot further in from the sides than the factory sensors. The instructions say to mount them 16" on center, or 14"-20"-14"(which places the outside sensors in the same place). I really should have called echomaster before drilling to see if it was OK to go with wider spacing. The outside sensors are still within 16" of the outer edge of the bumper, but I feel they'd work better further out.

If I had to do it again, I would not have installed the aftermarket sensors.
