Default Installed new muffler

I previously had a 50 series Flowmaster installed on my 5.0, but wanted something a little more aggressive. Decided to swap it out for a Flowmaster 40 series. The rest of the exhaust is stock, and still has the resonator installed. I love the way it came out! It's got a nice rumble to it, but not obnoxious at all. Once cruising at highway speed there's virtually no drone. I would definitely recommend this setup for anyone looking for a cheap way to improve their exhaust tone.

How was the 50 series compared to stock? Was there I noticeable difference over stock? I liked the way the 40 sounds on your setup but don't want to take a chance with drone on the highway.

The 50 series was not much louder than stock. You could definitely hear the difference at startup and low rpm with the 50 series, but at WOT it sounded no louder than stock. There was no drone at all with the 50 series. I wish I could tell you if there's any drone with the 40 series at fast highway speeds, but I've only been up to about 65 mph so far. At 65, I didn't notice any drone.

Ha, didn't even notice that. Cool, a new way to get rid of them!

I really want one but I park pretty close to my neighbor's house and leave for work at 7:00 every day. I already make noise when I ride the bike to work sometimes.
