Default Inspection List

So by all accounts it looks like my new plat should arrive on Friday...that would be exactly 4 months since I placed the order if it happens. I'm planning on spending lots of time going over it before taking delivery, and I'm hoping someone a lot more organized than me has developed a comprehensive list of the recurring items that have come up with some 15s thus far. I've got the following, but I know I'm missing stuff, and would love some help to develop an all-encompassing list:

Leaking/knocking Moonroof
Wind noise at highway speeds
Uneven door panels
Wavy weatherstripping on cab
Rear armrest not flush
Rust on rear diff
Dents on door thresholds
Overspray from factory bedliner
Dash warp
Missing pushpins on rear quarter panel
Low/rough shift points (Eco)
Tailgate step not flush

A quickie dump.

Most all of these are discussed in various threads. Many with accociated images.

A complete inspection checklist should include any descriptive vebiage for each item, and a pic or two if available.

Work in progress ...

===============

Preamble:

First - take all the time you need. If you are in a hurry to take delivery wait until you have the time & patience.

The Dealer should give you a check list of inspections they preformed before delivery.

Go over every option you ordered , or, what options are on the Window Sticker that are not Standard.

The Salesperson will, or should, go over every option that you have to use.

Doing a reasonable test drive and walk around seems all that is needed.

Most of the stuff on this list has been resolved. You are getting a bumper to bumper warranty.

My experience was that I could not find anything for them to fix. Ford has an excellent quality organization.

Relax and enjoy the experience of picking up your truck. No need to stress yourself or the dealership folks out over a painful review of the vehicle.

Have realistic expectations. You nitpick every last detail, they will tell you to go pound sand and move on to the next customer.
