Default Infotainment system problems (Sync 3)

My systems seems to reset it self itself after turning off the engine. Basically after having it on a station (SiriusXM), it resets all the way by placing itself on AM or on the SiriusXM initialization channel. I have checked the battery cables and they are on tight. I am wondering if this may be a fuse issue or if the system needs to be completely reset, I think the call it APIM? Any insight on this and what may be the cause?

Wow what a pain, I only see that if I disconnect the battery to work on the truck. Whats the condition of your battery? What year truck?

It's a 2019 Ford F150 XLT. The battery is a FieHard which is only 2 years old. I have no problem starting the truck up, so that is what is confusing.

Sounds like a bad battery, or a battery that does not get fully charged often enough. These systems are tempermental. If you are certain it's not the battery, are you up to date with sync software? If not, you can download free off Ford website to a thumb drive and let it do its magic.

The first thing you should do is go to the Ford owner support web site and ensure your version of Sync is up to date. It will tell you if you have any updates available, and you can download them to a thumb drive, or connect the truck WiFi and turn on Auto Updates for automatic installation. Follow the download and installation instructions to the letter. The current version of Sync is 3.4, build 23188, which seems to be problem-free. Update the software and then perform a hard reset in the system settings. If you're still having the problem after that, it might be a battery that's not fully charged, or a hardware issue. Good luck.
