just wondering if anyone else may have noticed this. ive got a 2018 2.7 4x4 rcsb. only had it about 2 months. i was running premium, but gas prices have put a halt to that and im back on the 87 and have been for awhile now. it seems like some days the truck has more oomph than others. it runs fine, no check engine light, it's just like somedays she wants to rip and other days she wants to take it easy. ive tried the different drive modes on the days she feels sluggish, but it doesnt seems to bring the performance back. i did notice that after sitting in a parking lot with the ac on for about 2 hours she went from sleepy back to rip mode. any thoughts?

 

Not sure, but I bet ambient air temp, humidity and such all play a role in how the turbocharged engine responds. Could just be a seat of the pants feeling that is misleading you as well. Get an acceleration device or app and test it out on days you feel it’s sluggish and super peppy to see if the numbers back up your feeling.

 

i downloaded 2 different apps for 0-60 and 1/4 mile but they are ridiculously inaccurate. they may work better with another carrier, but ive got spectrum mobile and everything is slow. the apps had a solid .5-1 second delay before it would start counting and i'd be hitting 75mph before it registered that i had hit 60mph.
i thought about the temp, i also thought about the amount of fuel in the tank. usually i run a half tank or less, but been trying to keep it toward the full mark lately. idk.
