Default Ignition Key Stuck

Last night got home and parked my 2015 F150 Sport 2.7L and cleared snow out of driveway, jumped back into truck, put key into ignition and it would not turn forward or backwards...I tried turning wheel hard to left/right and inserting key a bunch of times, and tilted the steering wheel up/down, then after about 15 minutes I wiggled key again and it let me turn it and start it. Drove it after that and this morning with no problems? Any ideas what this was all about? Scared me half to death...

My key's a little tough to remove sometimes. If it's working now, I wouldn't worry about it. Might have been a burr left on the lock cylinder that needed to get knocked out or something.

I had the same happen on a trip. Like you said after about 15 minutes it turned and has not been a problem since. Not a good feeling half way home on a 750 mile road trip.

I had same thing happen Christmas eve. I was stuck in a parking lot for 45 minutes before I finally finessed the cylinder into turning. Several times I have put the key in the ignition and turned it and absolutely nothing happens. Usually after a few turns it will start. Sometimes there is a delayed start; meaning i turn the key...nothing for a couple or 3 seconds then it starts. Took it to dealership and they said they have no idea what or why it does that but that the key that unfolds out of the fob was loose in the fob and the whole thing seemed poorly designed.
