Default Ignition Key Not Ejecting From Remote With Button

Anyone have issues with their ignition key not ejecting from the key remote when pushing the button? I have to wiggle mine with my finger nail while pushing the button now and its a pain in the ***** LOL!

I have had similar problems with my key remote not releasing the key at times and I discovered that there is a small roll pin that holds the key shaft to the pivoting base that is pinned into the remote housing. When this roll pin shifts slightly, it can cause a slight interference against the housing and cause the key to hang up. If you push the roll pin back into the pivot base so it is centered (not hanging out more on one side) it allows the key to rotate (or at least it did for mine). I have not gone to the extreme of removing the roll pin and applying Loctite to keep it in place but that might be a possibility.

Good Luck,
Dave

There is actually no visable roll pin on mine...that entire square section is under the plastic case on my fob

It's possible that the key fob case was redesigned between 2015 (my year) and yours. The roll pin is only visible if you hold the key in the position shown in the photo. It is not visible when the key is extended or retracted.
