I have been in this business for a long time. In that time we have, on occasion, refused to work on someone's vehicle. In EVERY instance it was because of the behavior of the person being refused service. When you purchase a vehicle at a dealership that has problems and take it somewhere else for repairs that is fine, they get paid by Ford for performing those repairs. However, if you become "that guy" who is demanding something every visit and they decide they aren't going to make you happy regardless then they have the right to tell you to hit the road. When you show up at another location with a "case" already open they are, understandably, a bit hesitant to step into a bad situation.

I'd suggest you speak to the dealership where you purchased it, 200 miles away was fine at that time apparently, and see what they suggest. I have known customers in the past that could not get service at any dealership in the area because of their behavior. If it's 1 location maybe it's them. When it's 3 or 4 it's probably you.

Can I just remind everyone that this thread is nothing to do with Ford refusing to do the work, it's that the dealership that the OP went to doesn't have a body shop, and is physically unable to perform the work. As well, OP doesn't have a dealership close to him with a body shop.

OP - Drive to a dealer with a body shop.

END OF THREAD. CLOSE IT UP.

to the guys that suggest that there is something wrong with me..back off. Ford rep was looking for the shop on my behalf as well and she got denied. no shop in the area wants to deal with body issues.

perhaps the reason I am so pissed now, is that I actually know what good service actually is. it's at any BMW service dept. you should try it.

and my F150 is more expensive than any BMW i ever owned

it's been 3 month and even though I do have loaner authorization from Ford now, I can't find place that will take truck in.

service manager from dealership that did 6000 mile service told me last week that they are in the process of swapping loaner fleet and that he can't help me. even after I asked to schedule appointment for month out. service manager later told me that ford reimburses him $30 day for loaner but in NJ.. you can't rent a car for $30/day.
First you said that they could not help you at all, then come back and said that when you brought in for service that they needed to keep it for 3-4 days to fix the issues which you declined? Because they wouldn't provide a loaner? If they get reimbursed $30/day for a loaner then take that figure, go get a loaner vehicle and pay the difference out of pocket (yes I know it sucks but sometimes it is what it is) and get your truck fixed. It sounds like they offered you a solution initially but you declined because it didn't meet standards that BMW has.

If you've tried everything to get help, with no results, then it sounds like its time to "get a lawyer". I know that sucks, but it sounds like your only option. Also, making the loaner your top priority was probably not the best way to handle it. I would have paid for the loaner than opened a case with Ford for reimbursement. If you don't want to get a lawyer, than it's time to kiss some booty!!!

He opened a case with ford regarding a loaner car which ford has approved but in the process he's coming across like a difficult customer who can't be satisfied. So the dealers with a body shop do not want to help him.

When you post something like this you come across as a huge part of the problem. Then you follow up by telling people to "back off" for offering their opinion of what is going on based on the information YOU provided. In doing that you have reinforced the belief that you are in fact the problem. If you don't want comments, which includes those that have a different point of view than you, then don't post your complaint.

PS - BMW is a joke. Their over-priced garbage is so bad they BETTER provide some kind of service. And if you've ever paid for repairs on that BMW then you'd be pissed if you found out how badly you were ripped off on the price.
