Bought this one http://www.obd2life.com/ford-vcm-ii-...er-p-1637.html

Paid via Paypal, thank God! Seller would not provide any return information.

Cost me 50 bucks just to ship it back! Once it showed delivered, PP refunded me my initial money.

I tried every version of the software that they provided, communication while attempting was slow and hard to understand.

Dang! Ford really doesn't what the average enthusiast to get their hand on the "IDS". I'm surprised the Chinese market has not come up with any pirated version that works.

All I can tell you is that the one listed above, would not read my 13 F15o. Tried many times, several PCs with a clean install.

I even started a post on it. There was another user here who also bought one from another website, last I heard, he never got his to work either.

It's funny, my first F150 - I would have wanted dark mode right away. With the latest F150 and two kids, I want the most lighting I can get. LOL.

No kids for me. I spend a fair amount of time in the dark, when little to no visibility is a good thing. I have the MFT screen turned off and the interior lights set to not come on, but the Info Display and the cab and mirror lights still illuminate. That's what I'd like to prevent.

"FAQ:
Q: I got an Error says license not valid
A: Just change the date and time(time zone) setting of master laptop to UTC+08:00 Beijing, ChongQin----, then to click OK
After that , it will be ok to run VMWare for FORD IDS V97.05"

Now ^^^that^^^ sounds legit!!!

$1700 for my IDS and $450 a year for the software subscription... There are no free rides, the copied units won't flash modules..

The retail on the software subscription is up to $800 a year now. I always caution against using clones and hacked software. Are you ready to risk hosing a $50000 vehicle because you thought a clone would work?
