I think Ford has lost me as a customer

That combo isn’t very appealing though. They probably do not want them on the lots. Light tan interior in a pickup doesn’t scream “Sport”.
As far as lean manufacturerering, one annoying thing on the super duty is you can’t get adaptive cruise control on the extended cab. I can’t park a crew cab long bed where I am so that makes the super duty a little less desirable. But there is probably a manufacturer cost analysis reason. Might as well get an XL with vinyl...

I also am considering switching to RAM because Ford will not find me a shadow black, XLT Lariat, with the chrome package front bumper, and sport package rear bumper, in red.

Maybe, but are you willing to leave over color, perhaps look at as an opportunity to customize.
Ford gained me as a customer based on safety, my wife is the primary driver of her F150 driving a dangerous two lane highway.

Funny you mentioned that, I just went over and built a 19 F250 Lariat, anybody know why you can't get XM radio with Nav. in any trim level pkg???

Also wouldn't it be easier to go in and get with the most experienced salesman and try and order up what you want? I have heard Fleet Managers are the best at getting the customer exactly what they want, even if its outside the norm. Kansas Transit, I know a guy in Topeka, that really knows his stuff at Laird Noller Ford in Topeka. PM me for his name/info.

Anyway as far as Nav goes unless you only have satellite phone service the factory crap sucks. Even if you loose signal on your phone it will keep track via gps and the preloaded map (just can’t start a new Nav route without signal).
