I think Ford has lost me as a customer
 

After having nothing but ford trucks since 1995 (10 trucks, couple of cars, a Lincoln LT and an 2018 Expedition in total) I am throwing in the towel unless someone on here can figured out how to get what I want.

I have been wanting to replace my 2014 STX ext cab 5.0 since about 2016, but ever year I wait until the new packages are announced hoping that I can finally get what I want, but it hasn't happened, last year I bought a 2018 Expedition to keep some miles off my 2014 hoping that as soon as the 2019's ordering info was out I could replace it, but to no avail.

I don't think I'm being unrealistic here, but if I am willing to spend 60+ large on a truck with all of the packages and models they have you would think I could get close, but it aint happening unless I am missing something.

All I want is an ext cab 6.5 bed 5.0 Magna, and a beige or camel leather interior with the console and floor shift, and I like the sport look of all the bumpers mirrors and trim to be a monotone color. But as you move up the ladder you lose the ext cab and only Crews are avail. so I changed to a crew 6.5 bed,,,But try as I might, I cant get it to come together???

If I go XL, or XLT you cant get leather, if I go Lariat I can get beige leather, but unless you order the sport app. pkg you get all chrome bumpers and if you do the spt pkg you lose the beige int.

If you go King Ranch, I "guess" I could live with the int. color, but as soon as you drop the two tone paint, everything turns to chrome??? Ok, So let's try Platinum, I think this is as close as I could get with monochrome paint,,,,BUT that Marsala looks awfully DARK, I like lighter color int.??

So then I look at the 19 specs for LIMITED, OK, even though I REALLY dont want to give up the V8 I guess I "could" live with the ecoboost HO, AND surprise, surprise, Limited for 19 has CAMEL INT!!!!!!!! YES!!!, except I can't Magna, Ok I could go for the Ruby,,,,,,BUT you can't get the 6.5 bed, WTF????

Seriously, Is what I want REALLY that difficult, is my taste really that terrible that the Magna monochrome ext. and a beige int, would be hideous???

Like I said, unless one of you guys sees something I don't? Rant over, Thx for listening.

Order some (custom) Katskin Seat Covers in Beige and have them installed.

Yeah, I know that, but it's not the point, You would also have to change door panels and seat trim to make it look right, I'm just not interested in spending this kind of coin only to have to tear the truck apart, I could go the other way and change bumpers and paint door handles and wheel well moldings too, either way it's not the answer I'm, looking for, but I do appreciate your response.

Have to admit I didn't think about the other items that would need changed as well.

Curious if you've tried to configure another brand and if you can get exactly what you're after.

Well, I already gave up the ext cab, and if I was to go Limited I would be giving up the 6.5 and the V8, so its not like I'm not trying here, I NEED the 6.5 because I haul my motorcycle and I dont want to buy a trailer, I have the Ecoboost in my Expi, and to be honest, I would rather have the V8?? See what I mean, lol

Looks like the 2019 Ram, they have a nice light color leather int, AND they have a body color bumper pkg on their models, and even on their limited I CAN get the crew 6.5 bed. See Ford, was that hard???? lol
