Default I started getting a front camera malfunction alert / collision avoidance alert.

On vacation and my 2020 XLT started getting a front camera malfunction alert as well as a collision avoidance alert. Meaning I have to clear two alerts every time the truck starts. Wont be able to take to the dealer till we get home. Anyone having the same problem? Just started doing it out of the blue. Only about 10k miles on the truck. My truck doesn't even have a front camera.

Clean the windshield and any sensors.

I just went through this on my truck a few months ago. I have a Fox 2.0 setup to level it out and had no issues with the truck for about a year. Then out of the blue I started getting the same fault as you, which disables a ton of features (cruise, auto high beams, collision avoidance). Took it to the dealer and of course they blame the leveling kit. I disagreed and they actually listened to me. Checked all the other items, recalibrated the sensors and narrowed it down to a defective windshield. Crazy enough, there was a “wave” in the factory glass right near the roofline where the sensors are located. That wave was enough to distort the camera and cause the malfunction. A new windshield solved my issue and has been trouble-free again for months.

That's great you got it fixed. Weird that it happened out of the blue. Did they figure the windshield got the wave in it all of the sudden or came from the factory ?

Came to the conclusion it was a manufacturer defect. We looked at a few other trucks on the lot and over half had the same problem, but mine was by far the worst. You can see it if you look at your windshield from the side. I did not save my pictures or else I’d share to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Maybe the wave got worse with age . Seems weird to start after about a year. Here's hoping a new windshield will solve my problem! Hate chasing electrical gremlins.

I agree and hope a windshield fixes your issue. Frustrating to have something like this happen on such a new vehicle. Appears that the 2020s are the ones most prone to it too. Linked is another post with the same issue, and the remedy was a new windshield.

I am also having this issue. Just out the blue it started. I checked all sensors and everything is clean and free of debris.
