I honestly didn't know my truck did this, especially being a lowly XLT. It even shows up on the Ford Pass app.
I thought is was funny considering the numerous threads and complaints about this subject.
Interesting, I heard a recall was issued to disable the low fluid warning light. The summary stated that Ford did not want owners unnecessarily scheduling service appointments to get the reservoir refilled.

2018 Is the first year this light became available on the F-150.
Now that you mention it I don’t recall my 13’ ever displaying a low warning....normally just add some. My Expedition always displays a warning. I think Expeditions have had this since 2005.
