Not familiar with that program. I will have to check it out. I've worked in Solidworks for several years, although I am not an expert with it by any means. Nice work!

Thanks. I had zero familiarity with 3D modeling before getting an Ender 3 printer. My brother does CNC machining (among other things) and recommended Fusion. It took a lot of trial and error and watching YouTube tutorials, but now I'm close to competent.

OK, I've made some headway on this. My snow tires are mounted to steelies and the last of the 48 hole plugs are printing I as type. I've finished coating two of the wheels in Plasti Dip camo tan (1 full can each) and I just started the other two. I've redesigned the center cap based on taking some new measurements. The winter lug nuts arrive today and I'll test fit a wheel to take some final dimensions before printing the center caps. Here are the two coated wheels; the color is quite a bit lighter than I'd hoped, but, whatever, they're winter wheels. The only thing I wish I'd done is to tell the shop that mounted the tires to use stick-on weights rather than clamp-on weights.

The faces of the steel wheels have a lot more features than I first thought... a lot of bumps and raised areas around the lug holes. Here's the latest iteration (version 26):

Such a cool idea. The only issue I have with 3D printed stuff is the gazillion little lines left from the printing. Will you be sanding those down to be smooth?

I print for function over form, with almost every project. I'm using a $200 printer, so I don't expect things will be perfect... but I do some quick sanding and will be spraying the black parts with matte black primer to get rid of the plastic gloss.

Understood. So how much snow are you anticipating in Tampa this winter, LOL. I assume your avatar area is not up to date.

It is, yeah. We just weathered what little was left of Eta... a little wind and rain. But in about a month from now I'll be driving to Maine and buying a house there.

Here's one wheel with all holes plugged, and one with just a few. I'm painting and installing as I go.

Here's the first hubcap printed and primed. I need to make an adjustment for fit to the hub. I think the next four I print will be installation-ready.

Where in Maine you heading? Lots of variance in how much snow we get up here depending on where you are...you will definitely be one of a very few who has snow tires on a truck though.
