Default I can't believe I just did that!

After a few months of pondering, researching, begging the wife, and drooling, I picked up this beauty today.

2015 XLT SCREW 5.0 4x4 short bed | 302a package, chrome package, tailgate step and spray on bed liner. $47k sticker

Dealer gave me a fair deal for the truck being a new model year, Costco price ($3500 off MSRP, $1000 switch deal, and an additional $2000 rebate when it looked like I was ready to walk). I got 1.99% APR and also purchased the 7 year/100k ESP.

Love the truck so far. While still and XLT, it's 10x more optioned than my old one (2012 XLT with the 3.7). The 5.0 is, well, WOW. I just got home so I will take more pics tomorrow when it's light out. I managed to take one crappy one at the dealership. Hope I attached it correctly.

Just wanted to share and say this forum has been a great resource, which I feel honored to be apart of.

Sharp looking truck!

How does "the switch" money work is it only on purchases or purchases and leases? Also what other rebates or money off did they give you to get to the other 2k off was it dealer hold back money?

Thanks pal! The switch money should work with either purchase or lease (from what they said). They seemed to pull the other rebates out of their arsses, had no idea they existed and they never told me where they came from. I made sure they were indicated in the sea of paperwork I signed at the end though.

Nice job. That 5.0 is MUCH better than the 3.7 six banger you had in the old one.

Looking good.

I recently ordered a lightly optioned XLT. I cannot wait for it to arrive. Looking at all the Plats, KRs and even Lariats is cool, seeing a new XLT on the street really makes me impatient.

Good looking truck, congrats!

Congrats on the new truck! I have to say, after sitting in the new 2015's, that the XLT trim is just a much better truck than a 2014 XLT. Mor comfortable, more quality, more choices. In reality, a 301 is the equivalent of a 302 on the 2014's.

Congrats again!

What's the deal with all the "heart" balloons? Part of dealing with the wife?

Haha! Dealership was a tad bit early on their Valentine's Day decorations.
