Default Hypertech buyer beware...

Over the weekend I got the hypertech speedo recalibration unit. Went to install it and followed all the instructions and it went and said it needs to be updated...
Went to my computer and I can't update it.
I came to find they only support windows based computers. Our house is all Mac because of my wife's profession (teacher all the school boards around here are Mac based).
I emailed them up and they basically said find a friend with a Windows PC.
Luckily the place I bought it was great and they returned it for me but it was a pain.

I'm not mad or upset about it (disappointed but oh well lol)
But I also wanted to let ppl know about that incase they were on the fence

Why didn't you just update it on a PC? So now you still have an out of wack speedometer..

I don't have a PC... All we have are macs... All our friends have macs because most are teachers... It's out only 2.6% or something... When I buy winter tires I'll make sure they are smaller... Won't completely make the difference up but it will help
Edit. I'm not saying don't buy it, I'm simply informing people make sure they have access to a Windows computer that's all

Same thing happened to me when I got my tune from 5 star. No Mac support. Even if I had a pc I would not load Windows anything. Linux all the way over widows. And I thought I was living in the 21st century.

Default VM Window on a Mac

Put a virtual window on one of your Macs that runs Windows operating system. I have that setup and what used for the Hypertech update.

But you'd still have to buy a Windows code correct?
