Good Morning Everyone,

I am at wits end. My 2016 F150 was blowing air, hot or cold as selected only out of the dash panel vents. I went to ford got a new mode door actuator, installed this, still not working right. Every time I get into the truck and start it, I don't know which position or place the air will blow. Sometimes it's the defrost, some times it's the floor, or the panel vents. It's like playing russian roulette with the direction of air flow. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. I don't have thousands of $$$$ to take to the dealer.

I replaced mine on my 16 a couple months ago. You have to be careful to get the gears lined up correctly when you install the new actuator or the setting won't match where the air is actually blowing out of. I'd take it back to the dealer if they did the install. If you installed it, youtube the install procedure and they show you how to do it.

 

Look up the actuator thread and find out how many you have and make sure you changed the correct one or ones.
