Edit. I think we are saying the same thing.
I just checked mine, Looks like it just rests in that area by the top pins, on mine it rests on one, and slipped behind the other while it is tucked in behind the two bottom ones. I don't think it matters at the top, and probably would be fine just resting in front of the pins.

My old F250 had "liners," they were steel, all the water and dirt sat on top of them and rusted out the fender lip. Plastic ones like this are a better alternative IMO.

I'm sure it's already been said but I felt like I need to mention. Make sure you have them on the correct side. There's a small stamp that indicates passenger and Driver sides. You will have fitment issues if you have them on the incorrect side. Took me about 20 minutes to put both of mine in. And fitment was great.

Actually, I've read post and reviews of these being on the wrong side, and so many people not being able to tell. A lot of the people were placing them on the wrong side and all of the holes but one were lining up. So many of these people were complaining of QC issues saying they had to drill their on hole, then come to find out they had them on the wrong side. Many did not see the very tough to seen stamp.

This issue keeps coming up, search is your friend. Simple fact is there has been some issues with the Husky liners but they are the only ones that cover the holes in the frame rails. If you don't have factory flares I am sure install would be simple just like all the husky videos show, with the flares it can be a PITA.

My liners fit tight and took me ~10 minutes to install both of them and the holes lined up perfectly. I did install them by rotating them into position going front to back. I purchased mine in May of this year so maybe there is a difference in the molds they use to form the liners.

How can you put them in the wrong side? There are formations in the mold to clear the shocks. If you try putting the left side in the ride side then your cutout for the shock will be on the wrong end.
