Default HOW TO: Summers22 splash/apron mod for front wheel wells

Wanted to share a mod with the 13th gen people that I had seen done on the 12th gens. The 09-14 guys made their own version of the ecoboost front wheel well apron/gap guards. These are NOT available from Ford separate from the front fender liners. I decided to do the same for the 15-19 trucks. I have a 2017 RWD, @sddesigns has a 2018 4x4 and @jdroller has a 2016 FX4. The liners that I made fit all 3 just fine. So I am confident they will fit all 15-19 non-eco trucks no matter the trim or drivetrain. Without help from @sddesigns and even more so from @jdroller (he scanned in the template I sent out, then emailed it to me, I then put it on to Google Onedrive for sharing) this write up would not have been possible. Huge thank you to both! I am attaching links to materials to use as well as the link for the template. After installing these onto my truck, I cleaned the engine bay and it is very well protected now from slush, mud, road grime. Last 3 times I have been under the hood, it only has a small layer of dust on it. Also there are issues with the coil pack bolts rusting and seizing, making plug changes a chore. This should cure that issue as well. I decided to pull all 8 bolts, paint them black and reinstall with some high temp copper anti-seize for added protection.

***These are for any 15-19 trucks, but the ecoboost comes with them already to protect the turbos. These are larger than the OEM aprons, so some eco guys/gals may consider this a worthy mod as well. A couple things to note, be careful drilling into your existing wheel well liners to avoid hitting any wiring harnesses.

Here is the link for the template (it is 6 pages, pages 1-5 is the full template, page 6 is how to put them together:

Pictures installed on my truck and @sddesigns You can make the template bigger or smaller depending on how you want it to cover. I have had them on for over 2 months now, they still look perfect! Enjoy!

Cool mod but..

I'd bet there are waaaay more people that would rather be able to purchase these at a reasonable price than make them. I didn't suggest you try and get rich selling them...

Great Mod...Ford has allowed the Eye Sore wheel wells (F&B) to continue to pass the 'It looks great, Build-It Stage" to save a few dollars the customer would not notice if added to MSRP!
