Just installed Superchips on my E boost
Just finished and took it on a little run. All I can tell up to know is that it cranks the turbos up, way up. Zero lag but it seems a little hyper, stick the throttle, and the waste gate is soon to follow. I'm going to leave it on for a few days to check FE and drivability. I bought it mainly to get rid of the speed limiter, so in the end I might just get rid of the tune and leave the limiter off. Ill report put more impressions after I drive it a little more.

Heres the skinny, the 91 performance tune is great but really for track only. Monster power, my Escort timer is showing consistent 100 mph 1/4 mile runs. Fuel economy is horrible, city has gone forn 14 mpg to 9mpg. Drivability is good at light or full throttle, mid throttle with light load is also good. However, midthrottle with high load (hill) brings up to much boost from the turbo (the left side one) with a resultant massive hiss and open waste gate, once the second one spools up there is also very audible extra boost.
Again, excellent for track day, but definitely not something you want to run all the time. I'm returning it to stock today and just eliminating the speed limiter. Nice proof that the engine can pony up a lot more power without major mods but also proof that Ford has done an admirable job in their ECU program that balances power, economy and drivability to a T. BTW when running the 91 program they tell you to limit towing to 6K, the truth is you should probably not tow at all as my mid throttle high load expirience shows. There are a few more programs for CAI, 87 ROM (2) and towing.

Thanks for the feedback. Two things that came to my mind are:
-Are you sure the decreased mileage isn't just because you've been hammering on it? It's not fair to compare apples to oranges in regard to driving style.
-I've never heard anyone complain they felt like their truck was too powerful. WTF?
When you say there's other tunes, does that mean you can download different programs on to your Flashpaq from home?

Plus gee, the price is only half a tank of gas for my boat

Whats the dollar to you driving over a 100 mpg ratio?
If you are driving so much at that rate of speed, why not just keep the tune on as you aren't going to be worrying about MPG.
Either way, good luck and have fun.

Regarding the MPG's. While stock, even with the hammer down I get 12mpg city Im not getting even 9
Remember there is another tune for Fuel Economy.
Its not about driving at 100 on a regular basis, its the frown you get when on the occasion you do hit the darned limiter while passing a semi (or something else) on a 2 lane road and you hit the "marshmellow wall". I do use T rated tires (118mph) thus the artificial 100mph limit is totally unnecessary. On roads where the speed limit is 75 or 80 a 100 mph limiter is stupid, period.
