How often: reset MPG?
I know some people obsess over their MPG's, and other people couldn't care less. I go back and forth - especially since I have the 5.0, I know my MPG's won't be phenomenal. But curious how often you like to reset your MPG's? I'll find myself resetting mine and play the "get it as high as I can" game for a while before I stop paying attention to it (and I do that every couple months or so).
I reset Trip One every fill up.
I reset Trip Two two or three times a year.
I always log on fuelly in notes Trip One.
Some times it is above fuelly calc. sometimes its below.
Usually pretty close.

Trip two was set to 0 the day I bought the truck. I don’t reset that one ever. Trip one gets reset before any longer trips.
I stay on the digital speedometer and only check mpgs every so often. I know the truck gets great mpg for a truck if don’t accelerate fast, use cruise between 70-72, etc.

I would reset the trip at each fillup. Just Trip 1. I kept Trip 2 as a tally for my personal owenership.
I would reset the MPG screens somewhat randomly, however before a trip. Sometimes I would keep the MPG tall for each direction, meaning I'd record the "to get there" mpg and reset for the drive home.
The trip would give me the overall MPG, I could visualize the variances in a round trip for long days or for example, record when arriving. reset and record again before leaving if I've been at a destination for a few days to monitor my local driving then you guessed it, reset and record for the trip home.
That would give me the MPG to travel to a destination
MPG for the commuting while at the destination
and MPG for the return trip home.
If I have to fill up during a road trip, I just record trip 1 screen, reset and fill like usual and do the math at home with the 2 trip readings.
It's not complicated at all.

Like others have said, I reset trip 2 the day I took ownership and haven't reset it since. I reset trip 1 for every fill up. I reset the instant MPG every so often but try to push it to see how good I can get it. With my 19 XLT supercrew 4x4 2.7 I've seen a lifetime trip 2 of 21.5mpg. With every fill up, I also keep track with fuelio app and consistently see MPGs of over the 21 range. Dashboard is usually only slightly below the hand calculated number by less than 1mpg. I'd say pretty damn good for a half ton truck
I have two large dash dials for RPM and SPEED.
I use the small digital display for Ave. mpg waterfall 99% of the time.
There are no other functions that need full time observations to most but fuel milage IMO.
If you don't care that's fine but some do as it's there to see with a click of the button.
Do I use CC? Yes when there are longer trips made and along with Ave. full display. The milage often is different due to changing conditions and how much of a hurry you are to get to destinations.
Do I look at tire pressures? Once in a while.
Do I look at battery state of charge, cranking voltage and recharge voltage at start up? Yes, often to see what state I have before leaving and detect battery related faults before they become an issue.
Paid for all the features and functions so may as well use them and learn over time what the vehicle does.
