Default How many keys?

Just took delivery of a new 2019, pictures to follow. Does Ford really only give you 1 key? It was an out of state purchase and delivery, and I’m thinking the dealership I bought from might be new to this type of purchase. So, how many keys should I have gotten? 1 or 2?

Where is the valet key supposed to be? The salesman showed it to me, but I can't find it in the truck anywhere.

Mine was next to shifter in the console, kind of hard to see. Could be in other places if you don't have a console shifter.

I just got a 3rd key cut today. Beware, on these late model trucks, you have to have BOTH factory keys to program a 3rd fob. The key I got today will be my daily driver key and the 2 factory keys put up for safe keeping.

THIS!!!
You need two keys in order to get a third key cut. I also believe (not sure) that you need two key fobs in order to program a third key fob. My recommendation is for every truck owner to take your two keys and two key fobs and have spares made BEFORE you lose one. Throw it in the kitchen junk drawer and forget about it until you need it in 5 years.

This is the truth.

I got only 1 key with my 2002 Explorer when I got it and ended up paying out the wazoo for additional keys and fobs.

Didn't make the same mistake with my 06 Explorer and my 18 F150.
