Default How to get speedo to default to MPH instead of KPH

Just got a 2015 Lariat FX-4 built in Canada, we live in CO, US. Speedometer defaults to KM when starting truck. Can change to MPH by pushing OK button on steering wheel but would rather have it default to MPH. Is there a way to do that. Tried search but didn't come up with anything. Or is this something that we have to have dealer reset.

I believe this can be done with FORScan if I remember correctly.

I reviewed the FORScan spreadsheet and didn't see anything for this.

I would talk to this guy. He created the FORScan spreadsheet and sticky on this forum. Good guy and very helpful. In his FAQ section he says he can program your console.

I believe they are supposed to change the cluster to a US one when they import it.

Miles which makes it confusing why the speedo doesn't automatically read in miles.

Thank you. I have looked at the information on the FORScan and sent it to hubby for him to decipher as it is above my pay grade.

It seems everyone buying a Canadian-market truck in the U.S. is stuck with this issue. If there was a way to change it with ForScan, I'm sure we would have heard about it on this forum by now. Or if the dealer could change it with IDS when they're doing the cluster swap, we would have also heard about that. You might be out of luck, unfortunately.

Thank goodness they solved this on my "Canadian" 2019. You set it to metric or US and it just stays there until you go in and change the units in the cluster. No Forscan needed. Have you checked the manual? It seems odd that it is so easy to do on a 2019 but so impossible on a 2015.

Hubby has looked in the manual and didn't find anything. I have been busy and haven't read the manual yet. Just figured if I asked on here I might get some direction as he gets easily frustrated reading.
