I specifically got it because I often put 3 or 4 six gallon gasoline and/or kerosene jugs in there to go fill them up at the gas station, and I'm sick of them flying around the bed (full or empty).

There's also an OEM bed divider, but it doesn't fold away.
Hey road pilot -- can you measure the distance from the top of the extended to the top of the bed when they are folded in?

Reason being I'd love to order one but with my ARE cap using C-clamps, I'm afraid it will interfere when I want the extender tucked in.

Thanks

Anyone have a spray in with a bed rug overtop? If so, does it slide much?

Yes that is a Ford bed may over a spray in liner. Figured the mat would help prevent dents and sliding and the spray in liner would protect it from everything else.

I'm not RoadPilot, but....since I have my truck and a tape measure I just walked outside and measured for you. It sits out away from the bed rail a couple of inches so the tape wasn't right up against the bedrail, but to be safe it is at least 4 1/2" below the bottom of the bedrail.
Have't had mine too long but it seems to work real nice. Another thing I noticed yesterday, the wife and I were in another town about 30 miles from home and she wanted to go to the grocery store and bring some things home. We put in the bed, mostly up by the cab but some also by the tailgate inside the bed extender. In my old F250 we would have never got home with one of those plastic bags, and everything would have been rolling around the back of the truck. I was totally impressed with the aerodynamics of the new f150, as not one bag even tried to get away. Everything was still bagged up, sitting there waiting on us, both up by the cab and back by the tailgate! I like!

I have the bed extender on my current truck and I'm not going to be getting another one for the new truck when I order it. It is nice but if your utility ATV has a big wheel kit it rubs them driving the quad into the bed. I thought I broke mine putting in my quad for deer season last year, luckily I just rubbed the crap out of them. Also when you store them against the bed the two rear tie down hooks are covered by the extender and can't be used. I plan on getting the bed divider on my new one.

I ordered the spray in and I have the bedrug in the garage ready to install when I get my truck in the next week or two. I had a bedrug in my Raptor and loved it, that is why I am going back to that set up.
