Default How do you drive?

Not counting special situations, when thinking about fuel economy, how do you drive your truck?
Do you drive it delicately to see what you can get with fuel economy?
Do you drive it hard and not worry about the fuel economy?
Do you just drive it "normally" and let the fuel economy be whatever it will be?

^^ this a lot of the time. I generally try to go easy on it to save gas, but people that can't do the speed limit (or maintain a constant speed) **** me off. Not to mention if they have a small "sports" car and can't take a damn curve higher than 5 below when my lifted, top-heavy, truck can do it at 10 over no problem.

I have been trying to drive lightly, trying to eke out as many mpg's as possible.

However at 2,555 I am about tired of that and especially since it is only getting me 17mpg anyway...

Can I choose all the above? Or is that what "Other" means? Dang it, I should have chosen Other....

Lightly with passengers or loaded up.
Hard when alone or in a hurry.
Normally when in traffic.

Guess I should comment on my own post. This is sort of where I am. I've been trying to eke out as much as possible just to see what I can get, but I'm getting to the point where I just want to drive and enjoy it.

If I fall from 18 mpg to 17 mpg and drive 15K miles per year and gas averages $2.50 per gallon, I'm only spending $122 more for the entire year. If I go from 18 mpg all the way down to 16 mpg, it's only $260 more for the entire year.

Seems a small price to pay to drive it enjoyably. For me, this would mean normal acceleration/deceleration with an occasional flogging and some sport mode driving mixed in.

Mine is a 2 year lease, in 23 more months I hand the keys back to Ford and say "give me another one." If I wanted gas mileage, I wouldn't have bought a truck. I beat on it like there's a warranty...
Funny part is, I only get 1 mpg less then the Ranger it replaced.
