So I just bought a 2016 f150 xlt sport and it doesn't have navigation but has the big screen and I noticed on some people's pics they have a custom background on the screen, how do I get that ?

 

Pretty sure that's just the 2015's. Sync3 does not have that feature.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 

My 2015 KR has the older sync and the background can be changed , but if you have the new sync 3 not sure if you can.

If,you do,have the older one it's under display background, if you search the site you'll find that hundred have been made.

 

The Sync 3 engineers were supposed to program that in on a Friday, so we did not end up getting that feature from the previous generation.

 

You can't, sync3 doesn't have the option. I thought the same thing when I got my truck and then discovered there's no option. Since the system is at 1.0 maybe they will add the option with an upgrade.

 

Does anyone know if a newer version update will allow this on a '16?
Looks like the op had version 1.0. I have version 2.0 and do not see an option for it. Maybe the newest 2.2?

Like most things Ford goes backwards with technology.

 

No not available with 2.2

 

As of right now, 2016 and up F150`s are out of luck.

The only screen choices we have are day or night mode.

 

How do you change it?
