Default Hot driver! Air mix actuator?

The weather here in Minnesota is starting to warm up. Took my grandson fishing this last weekend and had to use the A/C even. That’s where the problem comes in. The passenger side works fine, however regardless of where I set the temperature for the driver side, all I get is very HOT air. I removed the blending actuator down on the passenger side and adjusted the mix door manually but it didn’t seem to make any difference. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I am missing? Trying to avoid a $1000 repair from the dealer.

It's one of your blend doors or actuators. No idea how you are moving anything in the box manually?

After removing the actuator, I pivoted the little post that the actuator cam moves.

Default Driver Side Actuator

I had a similar problem about 4 months ago. Cold air on the driver side and hot air on the passenger side. I replaced the actuator on the driver side. Above the gas pedal, kind of tight up there but I got it done.

Default Fixed

Thanks to information I gleaned from this forum, I was able to locate and replace the correct actuator to fix my hot/cold air problem.
Thanks all!
