Default Hopefully the end to all the how do I wire my F'ing tailgate lightbar

Don't know if anyone has seen this or not. Mine was supposed to ship out by 12-21 but no idea when it actually will. In past talks with Starkey they are working on a harness adapter too but it has taken longer than expected. But here's Putco's announcement.

Putco direct connect

So this supposedly works with BLIS? I assume the wire harness plugs into/between the tail light connectors, although the description appears to be lacking to me.

Seems like so many always start great, but then get a crooked smile with burnt out leds.

They do seem to have a limited life. I put an original "Line of Fire" on my Avalanche when they first came out. It made it about 9 years before giving up the ghost; I thought that was pretty good.

not sure how the description seems lacking but yes it will work with BLIS. The only thing that screws up BLIS or the smart tow funtions is plugging into the trailer harness. If it is like the one for the SD that has been out for a while it will plug in the main taillight harness before it splits or "Y" off to the individual taillights.

Never could get an answer that sounded reasonable or truthful on why they came out with this for the SD before the F150 since way more 1/2 ton owners put these things on than HD truck guys.

9 years is shockingly amazingly good. Had one opt7 that didn't work right out of the box and another that made it about 6 months. Hopefully I won't need the 3 year warranty of the putco.

Too funny BadAV...my 02 Avalanche (Ginman) with "Line of Fire" still working (my dad owns truck now). So some can last 18 years.I did make sure to seal ends with silcone and make wire drip loop when i installed it. Any moisture is death of these things for sure.
Current LED bar, 6 years on my f150, no issues...can't recall what I installed anymore.

Yes, the Putco brochure says it works with BLIS. Did some hunting on the internet. Found a YouTube video where this QC harness was used on a Silverado. Could not find the equivalent for the F150
I would need to see install instructions before spending $320 on the kit
However it does look promising!

GM setup has been out for quite awhile. I've already spent the money so I'll let you know whenever it shoes up.

Unfortunately Putco history is repeating itself. What was supposedly in stock and to be shipped by 12-21, then to 12'29 and now maybe 2-15. In a phone conversation with Putco after the 1st date change they said they have the parts but nobody to assemble the kits. Maybe it's just me being a dick but that is not my definition of in stock.
