Well the weeks of subzero temps here in the Midwest has taken it’s fury out on my hood cable. It appears to be disconnected or broke at the hood latch. I upgraded my grill & I can’t see the cable looking through the front anymore. Since sticking a screwdriver to throw the tap isn’t possible does anyone have any suggestions on another solution? I still have the factory louvers behind it. Is there a way to have them open fully, if so maybe I can see the cable then.

Well with determination, repeated pounding on the hood at the latch location along with having someone holding the lever open in the cab my hood finally popped opened.
Lucky for me nothing was broke or out of adjustment.
Life is good again.
