Holes in OEM Headlight
It's been a year, but I am finally posting because I want to try and sell these. When I got the truck last summer I immediately swapped the OEM headlights for Anzo Switchbacks. When I got the OEM's out I noticed that they had these patched holes in the back. One was even covered with a couple of strips of duct tape and has another strip inside the housing. The inside chrome housing also has that little black drill spot.
Any idea what the purpose of this could be? My only guess is for condensation relief? I am quick to assume this will hurt the resale value.
While these were in, they were in perfect working condition, so whatever it was had no impact on performance.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Maybe used for construction or off duty officer? They add those strobing lights. Only thing i can really think of.

Did you buy the truck used OP? Check the taillights. They probably have some extra holes too.

Yep agreed here. Most likely a construction, police, or municipal type truck. Holes definitely look like where they would put them for that type of service.

Thank you, everyone, for the input. I would consider this solved and I now know how to describe this when selling.
