TIP 1: I found this out before reading the thread, but....If you use the FOB to lower you tail gate, watch the surrounding! I read where people had close calls with trailers, kids, etc. I had one in a parking lot. My wife and I were walking back to the truck, with left over food from a restaurant. Not wanting to get the food smell in my new truck, I told here we could just put it in the back. I double clicked on the fob to open the tail gate, when the car next to me started up and began to back out of the parking spot. Since the tail gate has a dampened open feature, it didn't just drop but begun to open slowly. The gut backed out rather close, and just barley missed backing into my tail gate, or the tail gate hitting his car.
So if your parked in lot, etc, look first and make sure someone isn't backing out, coming around a corner etc. and suddenly they have about 3' less space because your tailgate came down (not to mention the other things that it could drop into). - BTW does anyone know when the dampened tailgate begin? Or is 2019 the first year?

Also, be wary of anything that might have dropped onto your bumper or was left there. Acorns, sticks from a tree, soda/beer cans, etc...

When you auto open the tailgate, if there is crap on the top of your bumper, then you could hit it with the tailgate. I live in a neighborhood with oak trees everywhere, always branches and acorns everywhere. I also have a habit of setting cans on the rear bumper. If you cant see the bumper when you open the tailgate then... whoops. There isn't much of a gap between the top of the bumper and the tailgate when it is open.

If I recall correctly from reading the manual, that key fob "holder" is where you place a new fob to program it to work with your truck. There is a procedure that you follow.
A couple of other nice surprises that I've noticed are as follows - these are on the 8" display in the instrument cluster and may or may not apply to the 4" displays:
When setting the cruise control, the truck shows you the set speed, such as 65.
When you have the navigation screens displayed in the instrument cluster, the display will also show you the speed limit for the road you are on.
Nice touches, these!
