I just found this thread in my "subscribed threads" list. Those of you that posted in here, are you still having the whistling issue? I am wondering if it was a break-in issue as I have not heard the whistling in a while and I just passed 20,000 miles.

Can anyone else confirm if their whistle went away? I've got a 2016 5.0 with 2000 miles on it that does this. Wondering if it will go away or if there is a solution. Doesn't seem to be causing any issues, just annoying as hell.

I've had/have the same issue. Mine is a '16 XLT 5.0 with about 10K miles and I'm still hearing the same high pitched whistle...I only hear it with the windows down. I've had 3 tech's in the truck with me at the same time listening for it...I heard it but none of them did, so at this point I've given up. I know it isn't just me, as my wife and kids hear it when driving...

I know this is an old post but I just bought a 2016 5.0 and I hear the noise. At first I thought it was the radio since it is faint with the windows up, but today I had the windows down and heard it loud and clear. Did anyone find a fix for it?

My 2017 5.0L did NOT make this sound, my 2018 5.0L makes this exact whistle. Dealer said it's the turbo charger... I said it's a V8 and he back tracked.
I installed a 2017 5.0L throttle body and immediately got check engine light and misfires upon startup. They must have changed the part so I am installing a new 2018 OEM throttle body this week and will report back.
I can't hear the whistle at idle, but I put a mechanic's stethoscope on it and I can hear the whistle inside the TB without accelerating while in park.
