Default Hids from retrofitsource

I had put some HIDs from the retrofit source in my anzo switchbacks a year or two ago. The left one always had a problem since install where sometimes it wouldn't go on upon start up but if I switched my lights off and back on again it always went and stayed on... no big deal I figured.

Now the right one has gone out completely and won't come back on. A week ago I noticed a few times it was flickering very fast, and I would turn my lights off and on again and it went away. Now even turning lights on and off I can't get the right one to go back on.... any ideas what the problem could be? I really don't want to buy a whole new kit again.

Here is my setup.

I loved the light out but had similar problems to you. Ran through probably 3 kits and gave up and bought the led xb sealed headlights.

too expensive but in hindsight I wish I just did that and skipped the anzo’s

This sounds like a flicker issue. I see you have the anti-flicker harness. Before you go out and abandon the expensive HID kit, try a new anti-flicker harness. I have the same harness (H300) on my Morimoto HIDs in my ANZO headlights and before I installed the harness I had the problems you describe.

It could also be your relay not working correctly. I had similar issues where one light would not light if the other was working. TRS sent a replacement and that corrected the issue.

Yea I just sent them an email with my issues. I'm not sure if at this point they would send me anything new.... looking back I should've emailed them right away when the left side wasn't working correctly but I didn't mind too much because it atill worked fine once I turned lights off and back on again

I use this hylux ballast, no relay needed. It’s been flawless. If you hurry you can still catch the BF sale

They should have a 5 year warranty. I’ve had a few of there setups and always had issues.

Little update.... retrofit source got back to me, sent me a video how to diagnose what component is faulty and will send new part. The annoying part is I have to go out and switch each part side to side to test which was faulty one by one. I guess better than replacing the whole thing. Just have to find the time to do this now
