Default Help with SYNC 3.4 Upgrade please

So I received the email from Ford saying 3.4 update is available. I was currently up to date with my current version so I figured this would be a simple update. So I went to Ford and downloaded the update and loaded it on my USB. Started the Truck and plugged it in. Prompts came up saying it was updating. Final screen came up and said update was complete and to remove drive. Now to turn off and wait a moment and turn back on for the new version. WELL here is where things went wrong. The only screen I have now is the map. There is no way for me to get to Sync. The only thing that appears every Time I start the vehicle up is the map. (I did not update the maps, just SYNC)

To add to this I thought I would try to redownload and try again. Well Ford's site is all messed up and I can't even log in to get the download.

So would anyone have the download available or any advice on how to fix this. I really don't want to take this to Ford.

I have FORSCAN available, just not sure if I can use it to fix this problem

Thanks in advance.

I've not been through any updates yet so can't help you there, but I'm curious what year truck you have and what version/build of sync you were on before trying the update.

I have a 2016 F-150 Lariat. I believe the latest version I was running was 3.2. ( unfortunately I can’t get to my SYNC to see)

Load your default AsBuilt with Forscan if you’ve made any changes in the APIM, then disconnect battery for 15 minutes. If no changes, still disconnect battery for 15 minutes.

Also, you don’t have Sync 3.2 or would be updating to 3.4 if you have a 2016. You have Sync 3.0.

Thanks for the information. I am pretty sure I was not on 3.0. I have updated each version as they came out.

So not to circle back around I think I am going to try the ForScan route. Here is the only problem. I lost my as-built data when my computer crashed. Any idea where I can download the data from?

Could not get the link to work. If anyone needs it do this.

Go down to #5 on this link. The website is there. I don't know why the link isn't working.
