Default Help with shifter

Hi guys. First post here.

Just curious if anyone has had any issue with the shifter boot sliding down on their console shifter or not. I have a 2015 and I love it. The boot has recently begun to slide down the shifter and expose the wires. I don’t see how the thing stays on, as there doesn’t appear to be a clip or anything.

Secondly, are you supposed to be able to slide the shifter once it is in park? I can push mine forward after getting it in park. I have had the console apart and the back of the shifting mechanism actually comes up when it is being pushed beyond “P”. I can’t tell if it is broken or it is supposed to do that. It’s kind of odd.

Today I just noticed this. 6k miles and it's beginning to slide aswell. Not as bad as yours but enough to notice. Also unsure why. May have happened when I cleaned it
