OP, I'm curious. Do you have after market tires and rims with offset so the tires stick out or are you stock.

i used to get those side chips until I installed mud flaps/stone guards. I have stock size KO2s.

I usually get Omni or some other budget paint. It works just fine for touch ups on chips and small scratches.

Ah, omni. That's why. That stuff is about $1.50 an oz. Still a lot of paint for a few chips. I touched up an entire car that the hood looked like it was shot with a shotgun. Barely used any of the 2oz of paint.


I know my cost for UH tux black at 8 oz is $37. A 2oz bottle is $12. But I don't use "value" paint.

This stuff is amazing. I fixed a several inch long gouge in my mustang and it was virtually undetectable after I was done. I will never use anything else:

This seems to be a commercialized version of TomD's method in post #6. Pretty pricey and it doesn't even include the paint!

I didn't read his post, it may be. What I can tell you for sure is it works and if his process is the same it works too. I was happy to spend$30.00 for something that works this good, in fact I would have paid more.
