Default HELP! Light bar mount???

Hey - new to the site, first post.

Sorry if this question has been answered - as I am new, I haven't quite figured out the search function on these forums. I used to be a part of a Jeep forum when i owned a 2008 JK Wrangler Unlimited which has since been sold.

I have a 2016 Lithium Grey XLT FX4. I have a 22" lightbar that I am mounting where the front license plate should be (just on the inside of that plastic snap-on cover).

Unfortunately, I'm a cheap *****, and didn't buy the mounting plates. The lightbar comes with mounts that will work, so long as I am able to make two small holes (one on each side) of what appears to be the frame.

I pulled the negative terminal off the battery, thinking that I would be okay to drill without setting off any airbags. I can't find the location of the sensors online, I'm just curious if someone is able to give me the thumbs up (keep drilling and mounting the light) or should I stop this operation before I get too far into it.

Also, how do I get to the section of the site where I can find more info about lightbars? Aside from this drilling question, I am able to do everything else for the lightbar setup (wires and switches etc). Just need help and maybe a few tips with the drilling!

Thanks!
