Default help, camera picture upside down

I purchased a replacement camera on ebay thinking the camera was bad on my truck, since it hasn't worked in months. I replaced it with an aftermarket one, still no pic. After searching youtube to address the problem, I found out
I had a bad ground. Fixed the ground by grounding to the frame and voila, I have a picture. Only problem is the pic is now upside down. Thinking the aftermarket cam is poor quality, I put the old one back in (factory original) and the
problem still exists. I can't figure out what is wrong, can you help please?

Sounds like cheap chinese with no Q/C. Can't you just reverse the image sensor on the camera?

I did say it was an Ebay replacement, but also said I tried hooking up the factory original and also got the upside down image. I'm thinking something else is going on and I'd like to try to solve the problem without spending hundreds of dollars
at the stealership, thanks

What trim level, model year, 4 or 8 inch Sync screen? Have you disconnected the battery for 20 minutes and also reset Sync settings to default as part of troubleshooting?

I have Sync 3.0 with the 8 inch screen. I have not disconnected the battery, but have done a reset on sync. I haven't done a master reset for fear I'd lose all my info, but will if it's necessary to fix the problem, thanks for your advise!

Just rotate the camera 180 degrees so it's upright. Most cameras are the this way, just need to install it proper side up. The camera is a physical lens and doesn't have "orientation" built in like your phone does.

The replacement and the OE are both upside down, so the logical conclusion is that you are installing the cameras upside down.

OP, here is a shot from the Service Manual of the proper orientation of the camera in the housing.

Have you tried to reverse it and see if it fits?
