Ok I’m going to try on this section. Not getting any replies on the general section. Got a river trip coming up soon and need to figure this out. When I plug in the boat trailer lights I get “trailer disconnected” message. I have running/headlights but no brake or turn signal. I’ve pulled apart the 7/4 pin receptor and cleaned all the contacts. Only headlight signal coming through. Pulled apart connector by spare tire. Same thing, only headlight signal. All the way to the control module next to the brake pedal and still no turn/brake signal coming out. I’ve checked all the fuses related to the trailer/towing, visually and with a tester. They’re all good. I’m thinking my control module is bad. The truck didn’t come with a trailer brake controller so that can’t be it.
If someone could use a tester to confirm they have signal coming out of the 4 wires in the top connector on the module when they use the brake, turn signal and lights that would be a huge help.
Truck is a ‘15 CC 4x4 5.0.
