Heating issue.
I have a 2016 F150 XLT 5.0 I am having heating issues with the driver side blowing cool air. I know this has been discussed in here in the past but I am having trouble finding the right thread. As of now I have replaced the actuator for the blend door motor on the passenger side below the glove box twice now with no luck. The truck does not have dual climate control but does have the vents in the center console and under the seats. It does help sometimes with turning on the recirculation button and when the outside temperature is above 40 degrees after driving for a while. I did just replace all hoses and water pump along with the thermostat, the system has been bled of air and the heater core was flushed and both heater hoses are hot when at operating temperature. Fan blows good and strong in which ever setting I change it to and the air will switch from floor to defrost to vents when I change them to test for movement. I do notice that when I only have the heat on the floor setting it is much cooler than the vents or defrost modes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This thread is pretty informative. Post 2 shows other actuator locations. Good luck https://www.f150forum.com/f118/front...orking-576904/
This problem has been posted brefore and it ended up being a problem with the heater core being partially plugged. Even though there is a single temperature blend door, air going to the passenger side passes through the upper half of the core and air for the driver side passes through the lower portion.
Replacing the core is a major job so I would try to flush the core first. See post #19 of this thread.
