Default Heated Mirrors

Can you add heated mirrors to a truck that didn't come with them?
A friend is picking up a 300a XLT that doesn't have them. They are power adjust though.
Thanks.

If it has the 8 pin connector, then you should be able to swap them out for a pair of mirrors that has heat. You just need to look at the wires coming out of the connector and see if they are all there.

Just an FYI, i have a set for sale over in the for sale section. Let me know if your interested.

You can easily pop off the plastic trim that covers the mirror wiring on the inside and gain access to see the wiring. This is what my truck looks like. Xl model with powered options no heated mirrors

I had also read someone had to fully replace stuff at the fuse box and replace the ac havoc controls switches on the dash because they didn't have the defrost button.
