Default Heat Shield Recall

Just saw this information from OASIS.

Safety Recall 15S12

Apologize if it has been posted already.

CERTAIN 2015 MODEL YEAR F-150 VEHICLES — INSPECT UNDERBODY HEAT SHIELDS

OVERVIEW

Some vehicles may have missing underbody heat shields and bolts. The underbody heat shields should be located above the catalytic converters. If both underbody heat shields are present and all five bolts (two on left heat shield and three on the right heat shield) in place, no repair is required.

Affected Vehicle Build Information:

F-150 2015 Built in: Dearborn
Built on: January 30, 2015 through January 31, 2015

I hope the errant assembly line can be trusted to install other necessary components, e.g. brake calipers, etc.

The 91 vehicles affected by this recall were built over just two days -- January 30, 2015 and January 31, 2015 -- at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant.

The recall only affects 91 US & CAD vehicles according to a news source...must have been caused by a worker on an unscheduled break away from the assembly line?

They leave out the active park assist buttons too.

I read your topic on that. That happened to some Taurus models a couple years ago as well.
