Waiting for my XLT to show up. Looking at some others on the lot and don't like the headrest on the front of the fold down armrest. Anyone know if it comes off easily or will I need to do some major work. Wanted the flowthru console but dealer screwed up. Not done with him yet.

 

They come off. There is a button on each post that need to be pressed simultaneously in order to remove it. I just stuck mine in the lower storage area below the seat. It looks a lot better!

 

I will have to try that.

 

One other thing that threw me for a loop is both buttons faced the drivers side, so it's not obvious they are on both posts.

 

I did the same, WAY better. I like having it, and the three-point seatbelt, should I have a passenger in that seat.

 

Thanks for the info. Took my headrest off and it looks way better. I wonder if anybody will come up with options that could mount in the holes. A larger cup holders would be useful. Won,the fit those jumbo cups from the drive thru.
