Headlights fogging

Default Headlights fogging

Just broke 200 miles on the truck. Headlights been on for the past hour and a half and now they are fogged up ?? Anyone else have this issue?

Usually means you have faulty seals on your lights.

This is considered normal operation. It is not covered by the warranty. The lights are vented and open to outside air. It will clear up eventually.

It would only be covered by warranty if you have a fishbowl in there.

How fogged up are they? The manual describes what an acceptable amount of moisture is inside the headlights, such as light fogging. If you have pooling water or even small beads of water running down the inside of the housing, then it would warrant a trip to the dealer.

Buy some silica gel packets and put them inside the headlight housing. They will absorb the moisture. I have them in the headlights in my Acura. Just use double sided tape to secure them and try to stay away from the bulbs. I bought them from silicagelpackets.com

Like about the bottom quarter of the headlights and down were fogged. I'll check when I get home ive been out for over an hour

Really? Wow. In my world water in headlights has always meant a messed up seal. Stuff is changing all the time!

Mine did a little (bottom corner). After I sprayed them to get bug juice off.They did clear up.
