Default Headlight Switch?

So in the past in the VW / Audi if you wanted to change the behaviour of the headlights you just ordered the switch from another country and popped it in the dash. I imagine that doesn't work on a 2015 F150.

I have a Canadian truck and I want to drive with nothing turned on, NO DRL's as soon as I shift out of Park. You can't turn the DRL's off on a Canadian truck like some other models (listed as Type 2 in the manual)

What kind of challenge is this; programming? Or hard-wiring? Hardware? Any input?

If DLR's aren't legally required in your area of Canada, ask the Ford dealership where you bought the truck from to turn off the DRL's in the ECM.

Is it Canadian Law to have DRLs on all newer vehicles after a certain date? You might not have a choice in the matter. I remember insurance companies used to offer a discount for DRLs (Maybe they still do?) because of it being a safety thing.

I can see the government getting involved to make it a requirement.
