Default Headlight question

A few months ago, I swapped out the OEM headlight bulbs on my 2018 XLT with Sylvania SilverStar Ultras. I like the brightness, but it seems like the driver's side seems "scattered" and not the distinct beam "splash" that the OEM bulb threw.

This is how it's been since I did the installation, but hadn't driven it at night for quite a while after (longer summer days and all). Anyhow, my loaner 2019 has the distinct "splash", which leads me to believe something is amiss.

Is it possible to install the bulb and/or socket wrong (crooked, etc.). It definitely felt like it twisted in place correctly. Is it possible for the reflector in the housing prone to movement? I don't have the truck, as it's getting the long block replaced. It's been too damn hot and humid to be messing around under the truck recently anyhow.

I'm guessing that I'll get charged by the dealership to check it, since it's my installation of after-market parts?

Thanks.

As long as you got the correct bulb (many bulbs can 'fit" but only one is correct) then it should line up correctly. I'd make sure it's twisted in all the way. I wouldn't imagine Sylvania would be that far off from spec. Visually, looking into the headlight, does anything look wrong?

Yes, it's an H11 bulb and the other side went in perfectly. It was part of a 2-pack.

Looking into the housing, it seems the bulb is right behind the inner "cap" that's in there. Nothing looks wonky, but...

I'm thinking that the socket may not be seated right in the housing...it felt good, but...

Thanks for the response.

I think it's just about mandatory to realign headlights after replacing them. I see so many cars that they replaced the bulb and now the light is aiming up.

Certainly, double check the bulb is properly seated. I would check this first.
Also, there is always the possibility of the bulb being defective (out of tolerance).

Try reaiming per owner's manual first as jpeckinp mentions. Also you could try swapping LH and RH and see if the pattern switches side, then it's maybe a bad bulb.

Throw some H9s in there. More light. Only 10 more watts of power.
