Been troubleshoot my head unit for two weeks now woth no results helping. The head unit juat blinks on and off repeatiitivly. Drove home last night in the dark and it worked just fine. Got up this morning and its flashing again. Is the there a day night sensor some where causing my head unit to flash on and off. The buttons all still work.

 

There should be a sunload sensor on the dash.

 

If I was a betting guy, I’d say the APIM is taking a dump. If it was a constant flicker even at dark, I’d say the head unit itself.

 

it worked at midnight and this morning it worked again in the dark. I ordered a the sensor on the dash it will be here today and will install it.

 

My guess also is apim, or head unit. If mine ever takes a dump, I likely will look at ebay, there is a vendor that programs replacement to your vin#
