Harsh shifting
Hey!! I was looking to get some advice, my truck randomly started going into limp mode and throwing codes for output shaft sensors along with the wrench light coming on. Narrowed it down to a faulty lead frame and had it replaced. With the new lead frame in now it jerks going into gear and gets up to 4,000 rpms at down shift before shifting to a lower gear to slow down. Do I have to reprogram PCM on this repair? Also sometimes struggles to engage into drive . Watched the YouTube video and didn't mention anything about a PCM flash. What could be causing this issue if it's a new lead frame? 2017 Ford F150 XLT 5.0 with 6R80 trans. Any advice helps!!
so all I need to do is have a TCM reset? Ik I don't need a new tranny bc before I had the lead body replaced it shifted flawlessly, just kept going into limp and showing output sensor codes. Now I have no more codes but erratic shifting. TCM reset should fix this? And can I do it myself or do I have to go somewhere that has the Forscan software
It's a try it and see, hoping it corrects the issue.
Look up the Reset procedure for FORD F 150 6R80, so you get familiar with what needs to be done.
It's is usually done in vehicle from the driver seat.
Follow procedure and note the time intervals given for any actions.
This is really standard procedure when any transmission work is done.
Because the TCM still has the old history, and still uses it.
Good luck.

So toady when I got to work it told me gear 1 was slipping. I clicked the link in the Autel code scanner and it told me it's either a bad clutch, low fluid, or a bad input/output sensor. Come to find out it was 2 quarts low on fluid, I added 2 quarts of fluid and it fixed the issue. Just fyi y'all, always check your fluid after a repair!!
