Default Hard rolling cover.

Hey guys I just purchased the ford accessories hard rolling cover. And for the life of me I can’t get both sides to lock in the rail system. I’ve tried adjusting it for the past 2 hours and it will not adjust so that both sides lock. Anyone else have this kinda issue?

Can you take pictures of the locking mechanism and any brackets with it down as far as it will go with the tailgate open? I presume it's just a crossbar with plastic spring loaded latches like on the hard covers.

I will tomorrow. I played around with it after dinner Agian. It looks like the rails are set to far apart for the rolling cover, that’s why it will only clip along the rails on the one side. This is by far the worst fit and finished cover I’ve ever bought and installed on a pickup. Looks like i may have to install a spacer on the once rail along the box.

I had a Pace Edwards Full Metal Jackrabbit roll up cover for 13 years on my 2007. I thought the fit looked fine when I installed it, but would have trouble with it unlatching some, but after I installed a few of the supplied shims between the bed and the rails it performed flawlessly.

Check your tailgate gap for straight bedsides. No, it's not a common thing that I'm aware of, but would cause issues with bed covers.

That is an awful lot of words for a bed cover! Mine only came with two, and none of it sounded manly and dangerous

I just installed a Truxedo Sentry hard rolling cover. Took 20 minutes with my 8 yr old doing most of the work. No fitment issues. About $200 less than the Ford branded one.

Make sure the rails are flush, other than that, not much can be done. Make sure it's the right model for your truck.

Sorry to trigger you, I didn't name it. But it worked flawless for 13 years and plan to purchase another one soon for my 2020.

I ended up removing the cover today. Me and my brother tried for 2 hours trying to shim and line up the cover to get it to run along the rails. Nothing was working. This Cover is a POS. And I shall be returning it back to the dealer.

I purchased the truxedo sentry from a member on this forum Truck Alterations two years ago and it was one of the best purchases I have made. No issues at all. Keep 303 protectant applied to the cover and it looks mint still.

Luke from Truck Alterations is the man! The Sentry CT I bought from him is awesome and was $200 - $300 less than anyone else!
